I will advocate for improved health care for all Americans. While our country boasts the best medical technology in the world, many patients still cannot access this care due to a lack of insurance, restrictive insurance coverage, lengthy wait times for appointments or geographic barriers to specialized services.

Permanent telehealth accommodations will ensure patients in remote areas can access subspecialty care. Insurance companies should be held liable for prior authorization denials that lead to substandard care or that do not adhere to accepted medical necessity criteria. Maintaining patients’ choice of provider, and clearly delineating the training of all health care team members, will support informed decision-making by patients. Ultimately, patients should make informed decisions about their health care without constraints from bureaucrats or administrators.
